Decade of Comerica Park Baseball, 2000-2010
It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years since Comerica Park opened to the public. It seems like it was only yesterday that the Tigers left Tiger Stadium. This picture that I post today is of the 2000 Tigers team board at TigerFest. I wonder if the Tigers will be doing anything for Comerica Park's 10 year anniversary, like a ceremony or special event, or if the Tigers will be wearing a special patch on their jerseys like they did for the All Star game in 2005 and the final season at Tiger Stadium in 1999. Looking at this picture, I see the names of my favorite Tigers from back then, Damion Easley and Bobby Higginson. I was only 16 when Comerica Park opened, and I remember coming home from school and watching some of the festivities on the news that evening. My first game at Comerica Park was in April 2005, just after the Tigers home opener. It was a Saturday, and I didn't have much to do. I saw the Tigers were playing, and decided to go take in a game. I enjoyed myself. Well, more later or tomorrow.
