Odd Sight
As I look at this picture, which was taken downtown, I think of how odd it seems not to have the Lafayette building hovering over Lafayette and Michigan Avenue. It was torn down late last year and early this year, after a battle between City Council and Preservationists. City Council had its way, and the building was torn down. The Lafayette Building held the Courts when it closed in the late '90s. If anyone has any other info on the Lafayette Building, feel free to leave a comment.
