Year in Review: Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Thanksgiving Parade is always a great event to attend. The whole community either watches on TV or lines Woodward between Mack and the downtown area. The Turkey Trot races usually occur before the parade. The Turkey Trot is a marathon-style race through the streets of Downtown Detroit before the parade.
My favorite float in the parade was this one for Ford, with its car and the sun.
My favorite balloon was the Uncle Sam Balloon, sponsored by the Detroit News. It's always a popular one, and Uncle Sam always has his permanent smile on :-D. The Big Heads are another of my favorite sites in the parade. This lion and the Tiger "Big Heads" are my favorites, but I like them all.
